Last month, the yearly Rewired Africa team joined the MD team to Zambia, working on a separate mission to repair and install computers into our partner schools in and around Lusaka. The team repaired five computers at Garden Hill School, four at Crown of Life and six new computers to Holy Cross, donated by supporters from the UK.
The team also visited Vision of Hope safe house for girls to service PCs and laptops there. This team provides the tools and training to children and teachers to enable them to upskill and hopefully open up more employment opportunities for them.
A few years ago, Rewired did a split mission team of one week in Zambia and one week in Zimbabwe to see if their work would benefit our project in Zim.
We’re excited to say that next year, the Rewired team will be going on mission to Zimbabwe instead of Zambia to install donated computers at Joshua Dhube School – don’t miss out on this opportunity! You don’t need to be an IT professional, you just need to know the basics of a computer and be willing to show children and teachers the fundamentals (word, excel etc). See dates>
