Zika Virus

We are aware that there have been cases of Zika virus recently confirmed in the Americas. This does include both of our projects in the Dominican Republic and Brazil. WHO (World Health Organisation) met and have now stated that the outbreaks constitute a Public Health Emergency of International Concern.

We are currently monitoring the situation and will follow the advice issued by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. We will continue to provide updates on anything that may affect our trips.

Zika virus is spread by mosquitoes. There have been some links with the Zika Virus and birth defects. WHO are recommending that women who are pregnant postpone or cancel their trips.
