If you’re an educational worker – of any kind – you have a very valuable gift to give. Teachers in Cambodia, Uganda and Sierra Leone have had little or no teaching training and sharing your expertise could help shape the future of hundreds of children. Join one of our specific trip dates, or if you’re feeling more adventurous, work independently in the many schools we partner with in any country we visit.
If you're an educational worker of any kind, we can use your skills. The majority of our projects overseas are around education and providing school facilities to vulnerable and impoverished communities. If you're looking to volunteer and teach abroad fr two weeks, we could arrange for your skills to be used to teach classes in Africa, Asia, South America or the Caribbean - either teaching children or helping to upskill teachers. If you're looking to experience education in another culture - especially teaching with little resources - and get some perspective, then these trips are a must.
Whilst we no longer advertise specific standalone teaching trips, we can offer bespoke trips to those bringing a teaching group who wish to volunteer overseas for a short-term period. We can also work with individuals to tailor one of our standard teams* to include teaching elements where you can immerse yourself into the community and work alongside our trusted partner schools to offer your experience and expertise. Please contact us to discuss this in further detail.
In 2020, our Rewired team will help to install computers into impoverished schools as well as train teachers and children on the basic use of them. If you can help with this, you can see details on the trip below.
*Available in specific locations only and dates must be agreed with our partners in country.
Each of our trips includes some downtime, where you can experience some of the wonders and history of the country you are serving in. Please see specific country pages for further info.
