In a mountainous region of Malawi, there lives a small community of people; people who have never had access to education and who cry out for their next generation to have this privilege. Help us to support their plight for a future of hope and possibility.
Please note that the trip dates may vary a day either way due to flight availability.
Since 2010 we’ve been building this community’s first ever school. On completing the first block last year, we wondered if we were really meant to build this school - we had no children and no teachers.
Three months later we had 400 children and a headmaster!
The School will be officially opened at the end of June and as such, the date of this year’s Mission Direct trip has been brought forward so that our volunteers and staff can be a part of the celebration, as MD has been such a major supporter. Come and help with the final touches and be a part of history as we celebrate with the local community.
For your two weeks in this beautiful, rural region, you will live with the locals, immersed in learning more from them than you could probably ever teach.
Take a couple of days out to unwind and swim at the stunning Lake Malawi. See the stars like you have never seen them – you’ll feel like you can reach out and touch them.
