Staff Team – Rio de Janeiro, Brazil 2019

Imagine a life where everyday you fear for your children's safety as well as your own; where children are more likely to run drugs than they are to stay in full-time education; and where the belief is that the only way to make a living is in drug-trafficking and gang warfare. This is daily life for families in the favelas of Rio. Our partnership began here in 2017, where we're working to help change that mindset and open up opportunities for men, women and children in the favela. Come and join our staff team to help make a lasting difference to many lives. Team dates: 5 - 18 May | 26 May - 8 June

2019 Country Manager – Moldova

Moldova is the poorest nation in Europe and has suffered mass migration over recent years, damaging the economy even further. Many parents leave the country for better work opportunities, leaving children with grandparents. Many of these young people suffer abuse and neglect, with many (especially) girls becoming vulnerable to sex trafficking and forced prostitution. We've been working in Moldova for many years now, helping to build safe houses for young girls at risk. In 2019, we embark on a new project to refurbish buildings that will be used by disabled children and their families as accommodation during summer camp. These families will stay for about a week, where social workers can observe the families and assess their needs. We're recruiting a new Country Manager to lead on this exciting new project - it's one to make your own! Team dates: 27 July - 10 August | 17 - 31 August with a reccy trip (usually 1 week) in Jan/Feb 2019
