Whilst most of us take the constant supply of safe fresh water for granted, the lack of clean drinking water in Uganda is a critical problem. Most Ugandans can only dream of having access to clean water. The reality is often a long journey to a dirty watering hole with their jerry can. Water borne diseases like typhoid, cholera and dysentery lurk in this dirty water along with malaria-carrying mosquitoes.
Mission4Water is dedicated to changing this reality for many communities and institutions, by installing simple low cost boreholes and shallow wells. Employing local labour with low cost materials, these simple solutions are bringing the wonderful gift of clean drinking water to thousands and so helping communities stay healthy and active.
