Paul is a visionary Chief Executive with a successful track record in developing and transforming businesses and brands. He currently leads a significant business in the medical devices industry.

Paul lives in Glasgow and is married to Fiona with 2 children. In addition to his Christian activities, Paul enjoys playing the guitar and a variety of sports.

Peter was a senior executive at Boots the Chemist, making a significant contribution to the company over 35 years. He is now consulting with a number of charities and missions. A member of St Nic’s Church in Nottingham, he helps out with church preaching, teaching, and a homelessness programmes.

He is also trustee for J John’s Philo Trust and a director of the trading company for The Leprosy Mission. Peter is married to Juliet and has four grown up children.

Keith is a retired Human Resources specialist with Lloyds TSB, having spent 38 years in Banking. His time with the Bank of London & South America many years ago gave him and his wife, Vron, a love for Brazil; for several years he worked there for Mission Direct.

He is a Trustee and volunteer of Watford New Hope Trust, serving the homeless and disadvantaged. Keith and Vron have four grown up sons and many grandchildren.

Tim Martindale is a Trustee for Mission Direct and a founding member.

Tim is a Chartered Architect, who established his own practice, working for over 25 years in the public and private sectors. He retired to spend more time with Mission Direct.

Tim with his wife Pam have four children and are members of Godmanchester Baptist Church, near Huntingdon.

Mark Vickers is a partner in the finance department of Ashurst – a leading international law firm, based in London. He is one of the market’s leading experts on the debt funding of public to private takeovers and brings highly valued expertise to Mission Direct.

Mark lives in Harpenden and is married to Sarah. They have 2 daughters, including Rachel who has worked on Mission Direct Staff.

Terry and his wife served as a Baptist minister in Maidenhead for 20 years. They have a son and daughter and three grandchildren.

Since 1993 Terry has been building relationships with churches in Sierra Leone and Guinea. During those years he has been training and sending teams of people to give practical help and share their faith.  In 2004 he met Nigel Hyde and took a team from his church to Freetown.

Terry now serves as a Chaplain to the Fire Service and serves his local GP surgery as a psychotherapist

Felicity works as a General Practitioner with specific interest in training GPs. While she has been practicing in the UK, she has made regular journeys to Africa. These have been 2 week trips similar to Mission Direct and a 6 month sabbatical with YWAM to start the process of establishing new services to HIV sufferers.

She hopes to offer a fresh perspective to the trustee team and Mission Direct in general. She is especially interested in the running of Mission Direct’s Medical Teams and will offer her expertise to those already running these teams.

She currently lives with her family in Hitchin.

Dr Alan Smith has been the Lord Bishop of St Albans since 2009. He became a Patron of Mission Direct in 2012. Like Mission Direct he is passionate about issues of global development, poverty and social justice.

He enjoys skiing, travelling, gardening and both playing and listening to music.

Theresa is the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. She has been a Patron of Mission Direct since its founding in 2004.

Lord Bill McKenzie became a life peer in July 2004. Lord McKenzie is the Opposition Spokesperson for Communities and Local Government as well as Work and Pensions.

He is married and lives in Luton where Mission Direct was founded.
