Since 2014, we have partnered with local projects in Narok to help provide education; safe housing for girls escaping FGM and forced marriage; and accommodation for street children. FGM is practiced by about 68% of the Maasai families in Narok South and Narok North districts in Kenya. Help us to help Mission with a Vision combat this in 2027
Please note that the trip dates may vary a day either way due to flight availability.
Serving Communities in Kenya
Mission Direct is excited to continue building on its relationships in Kenya, working alongside local partners to support projects that bring hope, opportunity and lasting change to communities.
In 2027, teams will serve alongside local community leaders and organisations, contributing to initiatives shaped by local need and priority. This may include community development work, educational support, children’s programmes and practical improvement projects that strengthen what is already happening on the ground.
Working in partnership with Mission with a Vision and other local organisations, the focus remains on serving in a way that is responsive, relational and rooted in what communities are already working towards.
Alongside the practical work, team members will spend time with local communities, building relationships and gaining a deeper understanding of life in Kenya beyond the surface level of the projects.
This is about shared service, local partnership and playing a small part in the long-term work already transforming communities.
You’ll be guaranteed a warm welcome from the children and staff, with songs and dancing to celebrate lasting friendship between us.
At the end of the trip we have an overnight trip to the Maasai Mara game reserve where we stay in raised safari tents with comfortable twin beds and thick blankets! The tents have en-suite facilities. There will be time to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
There is also an afternoon/evening trip to Maji Moto to enjoy the Loita Plains and experience some Maasai culture.
The teams in Kenya Narok have been doing an incredible job. Here are a few of the most recent stories and stats from the projects...
